Dr. P. K. Joy has won serveral awards. One of them  is a gold crown he has won for poetry competition held in 1988 in South Korea in the name and style of ‘ Poetry Olympiad’. The crown replicates  the actual crown of  Kaya Dynasty of Korea of the 5th Century. This award won by Joy is  displayed  in the anthropology section of the Government Museum at Egmore in Chennai city.
